With Anita’s work it’s like reading a novel – it starts brilliantly, keeps you engaged all the way through the middle and it doesn’t tail off at the end - there are all sorts of surprises still to come. She’s a really talented writer...and we all felt strongly that she sets a new standard.

ABOUT

I’m a multi award-winning beauty and features journalist, brand consultant and experienced editor based with over a decade’s worth of experience on some of the biggest fashion and beauty magazines in the country.

Most recently I was Beauty Director of Stylist and stylist.co.uk travelling the world in search of the most agenda-setting beauty stories and bringing those to life through words and visuals, shooting with brands like YSL, Dior, Chanel and Redken. Prior to this I was Acting Features Director of Stylist, a huge job which involved coming up with cover concepts and the engaging stories that make Stylist so recognisable and relatable.

Before going back to Stylist where I started my beauty career, I worked as the Senior Beauty Editor at Marie Claire (where I was nominated for BSME columnist of the year for a feature on the trend of urotherapy) and Beauty & Health Editor at Women’s Health (where I also won Johnson & Johnson’s and Fashion Monitor’s Journalist of the year awards.)

My words have also appeared in The Guardian, Cosmopolitan, Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Sunday Telegraph, The Pool, Esquire, Men’s Health, i-D, Kerrang!, Clash, Schon, Dazed Digital and XO Jane among others.

I’ve also worked alongside trend forecasting agencies like The Future Laboratory/LSN Global to predict what’s going to be killer in the world of beauty and health and for Mastered as a editorial expert. I’ve been on Woman’s Hour, BBC’s Asian Network and ITV’s This Morning talking all things race, beauty and wellness. I’m also an experienced consultant (more about that here)

I’m now freelance and looking for new projects – so drop me a line.
